Paris Notes:

I met poet Karthika Nair yesterday. Turns out she lives in Paris as well. As predicted by the person who introduced us, we got along so well. `I’m so relieved to meet someone like her in Paris. We bitched about a lot of things, writers mostly and our mutual friend Aveek Sen— my only friend in Calcutta—who passed away from Covid a few years ago.

Karthika has lived in France for about twenty years and I was immediately jealous of her French. I am jealous of any Indian who speaks French fluently.
